This is a regency romance. And the title makes it sound a lot worse (or erotic) than it really is. In fact, this was a heartwarming romance. Fancy is the new opera star in London and Prince Stepan vows to make her his own. Fancy doesn't want to follow in her mother's footsteps and have an aristocratic lover, so she keeps pushing Stepan away. However, Stepan doesn't give up because he realizes he's in love and wants to marry this songbird. Along with this storyline, there is the subplot of a show more murderer who is targeting members of Fancy's theatre group.

I really enjoyed this story. Fancy and Stepan are just made for each other. They both have strong personalities, but they compliment each other. They disagree a lot, but it makes things more interesting. The subplot (serial killer) really helps along their romance. The supporting characters are all fun and have showed up in past books and future ones. This book is part of a series, but it also stands alone. This is the second story I've read by Patricia Grasso and I can't wait to read more. Pick this one up!

Enjoyable historical romance with an exciting beginning and ending but a couple of the issues got repetitive. It was fun visiting all the Russian princes and princesses again. Jeweler Katerina wants revenge for her family and believes Prince Drako is guilty.
What a magical book about love, deception, forgiveness, and murder. Patricia Grasso takes you into a world of old world romance spiced with intrigue, mystery, and danger. The characters of Katerina and Draco leap off the pages, and you find yourself wishing that this magical story could happen to you. This is one of the best historical romances I have read this year. I can not wait to see what comes next from this author.
Victoria has always been told she is stupid by her parents and other family members (later in the book it becomes clear what ails her). Not only do they humiliate her, sometimes they force her to humiliate herself. She falls in love, but her fiancé doesn't treat her any different; worse, he lets his friends humiliate her.
Sorry, but this is one of the worst books I ever read. I cannot believe a woman would want to marry a man who humiliates her time and again and honestly wonder why this show more book was ever published. show less
