I am a big fan of memoirs, biographies and autobiographies, but this one is terrible. I like Goldie Hawn, but after reading this book I felt like she was really full of herself. At one point she talks about a trip to India. The car she is travelling breaks down, and lots of people come out to see what is going on. She writes that the arrival of her and her companions "must be the biggest thing to happen in this village since Gandhi walked through" (347).
Some of the details don't mesh show more either. She describes herself as a boisterous child who never knew a stranger all throughout the beginning of the book, but later states that she was a shy child. Which is it?
It's an easy to read book and I've gotten through it really fast, but it's really not worth the time. The advice she offers throughout the book is common sense. Be nice to your family. Take time to smell the roses. Say your prayers. Nothing moving nor profound, which is what I think the author intends.
As the book continues, Goldie comes off more and more as a flake, and I could care less about reading anymore about her. show less

I have always loved Goldie Hawn and was excited to read this book. She is very open and honest about her life adventures. I can tell she is a deeply caring person. However, I almost wish that I hadn't read the book since I had a little bit different image of her. I am disappointed that she is so typical "Hollywood" in her thinking, but I shouldn't have been surprised by that. God Bless Her! I can tell that she is continually searching for truth and in my opinion, searching in the wrong show more places. However, that is more an observation about her character rather than the value of the book. The book is well written and quick reading. I still LOVE Goldie! show less
I thought this was going to be a vain, funny book from a very funny lady. I was pleasantly surprised to learn of the depth of this woman and how she truly treasures her experiences and relationships. One of the few books that I may re-read.
I think Goldie Hawn is really adorable and I picked up this book just because I wanted to know more about her life. This books is really interesting because it's not written so that it's pretensious celebrity bullcrap, it's actually Goldie telling about her life and how she's ended up where she has and more of an inspirational thing. I enjoyed it. It was very sweet.
