A good book, though not spectacular. I think it serves its purpose well, though without some much need "meat."

The book is good and I enjoyed parts of it. It is a good introduction to the idea of walking with God, or Abiding in Christ. If an introduction to the topic is what Dr Chappell was going for, he nailed it. If an in depth study, not so much. The book does make good devotional reading.

The book suffers from brevity. It only just touches upon the Scriptures and does not develop (with show more any kind of completeness) it's subject material. A good survey, but generally too shallow for my liking.

I do think the book could make a good base to build a Sunday school series on, and to teachers I might recommend it. If you are not a reader and would prefer a more basic discussion of the topic, this book is for you. If you are a reader, you might find more of what you like elsewhere.

Paid in Full Your Debt, God’s Payment by Paul Chappell Written directly to an unsaved person, this minibook explains salvation simply and engages with the reader conversationally.
Completely rewritten and redesigned to replace Bible Truth for New Believers, First Steps is a 100 page, paperback booklet for immediate entry-level discipleship of young Christians! This workbook contains thirteen brief lessons covering the most important truths any new Christian can know from God's Word.
Avoiding Confusion is more than a thirteen-lesson small group study; it's a guide for helping God's people navigate the difficult societal landscape in which they live. Sometimes Christians get confused by the many voices and overwhelming opinions surrounding them.
