If someone took all my cookbooks and left me with only 1.. This would be the one that I would want.. well maybe her sister book vol 2! An absolute must. Not only is it a good read for recipes it also is a good reference to Bed & Breakfast Country Inns thru-out the states! I have so many favorites between the 2 volumes that its hard to pick. Try any recipe and you will come back to try more.
A few which I have labeled "Excellent" from this issue include: Chicken Cordon Blue(page 109), Shire's show more Scallops(page 373), Nestlenook Inn's Beer Bread(page 225), Fruit Pizza(page 291), Zucchini Bread(page 371), Countryside's Apple Cake(page 452) and a great Venison recipe on page 449. There are many more that I have tried and enjoyed. This is one of MY "Most Valued" Cookbooks in my Collection! show less

Just the kind of recipes I like--sophisticated enough to serve to company, but actually created (and used) by real people
The American Country Inn and Bed & Breakfast Cookbook, Volume II (American Country Inn & Bed & Breakfast Cookbook) by Kitty Maynard
Excellent! Compliments Volume I as being one of the BEST cookbooks out there --- A definite keeper - So sad that my book jackets got ruined from extensive use -- reminder to self... take the jackets off before using your cookbooks!
