An interesting sandbox setting - though 'world' is a bit of a stretch to describe three small tropical islands. In fact I prefer small pieces of self-contained geography like this, as they can be easily slotted into any other game world. Setting, history and local characters are described well and there are lots of adventure hooks. This setting would be good for a mini-campaign or for starting characters. I found myself thinking about this setting and wanting to use it, so that sounds pretty show more positive to me. show less
I like the mechanism for generating miles of tunnels, and the selection of NPC's was judicious. The potted history section was adequate, but you can use this module is a stand-alone in the unlikely event the players haven't read LOTR.

As one of the original Iron Crown publications this is pretty lavish, with a lot of NPC's and backstory.
