This is a book of ghost stories aimed at a very young audience. The ghosts are all a lot like Casper - pretty friendly, and there is not a one of them that would give a child nightmares. One of the stories has a lot of alliteration in it, and another is written in a southern dialect with a lot of repetition. These stories would be wonderful to read out loud to a child. I wouldn't recommend this book to kids older than about 8 or 9 as I think the stories would not be sophisticated enough for show more them. show less
