I've mostly experienced this story by way of the Broadway musical. This was a nice take on it, even without the songs or Donny Osmond.
The sequel to A Breath of Border Air, the author is surrounded by colourful and often hilarious local characters like Jock-the-herd, Auld Baldy-Heid and her old friend Jessie.
The story of the author's childhood, spent on a lonely farm, in the Cheviot Hills on the Scottish Border.
