I read this while on a waiting room; they had it on the table. It is a very nice book to look through and browse. The photos are excellent, which is something to be expected from National Geographic. At times I do wish they would put little insets of the locations in the photo instead of doing the "see previous page" or "the next page is..." But that is little irk, not a major issue. There are some brief text sections to introduce each part; the book is divided by major geographic areas. show more Overall, this is a nice book to just sit back with a nice cup of coffee or tea and relax. show less
This book is truly lovely. The best part is the photographs have corresponding text indicating the year and the general location. It really is a unique collection of photos. They are all special in their own way because this collection highlights inner beauty and the human strive to love (and be loved). Do check it out.
Great photographs, makes you want to travel to all the places. Sometimes your IPhone just can not get everything in the photo. The experts can give us the whole wide story.
Work if one of the most fundamental human experiences: a practical necessity for most of us, a source of satisfaction for many, and a key indicator of personal identity and social status in cultures all over the world and throughout history.
