I found this book interesting in that I had owned some of the other Europa Militaria Special books pertaining to WWII and had found them to be excellent. I did not know that the series had dabbled in the medieval time period and when I had found it I could expect a very good book. I
I does not stress the armour components of medieval dress quite as much as I would have wanted but it is filled with large color photos of models wearing modern replica pieces of armour. I did learn a few things show more from this book thanks to Gerry Embleton's ability to make the technical simple. Along with the illustrations, one could see how certain things were made, or fitted, or work that one may have had a hard time visualizing before.
All in all a good reference book and Mr. Embleton's writing style does make what is supposed to be a very technical piece understandable and very readable.

The photographs recreate the fifteenth century admirable, while the text makes for an interesting read.
REENACTORS VIEW (16th C): Mediecal - VERY early modern Companie of St. George. Some of it is too early, all of it is inspirational!
Wenn es auch schon etwas älter ist, ich sehe immer noch gerne und oft in das schöne, große Buch hinein und erfreue mich an den guten Photographien und überlegten Texten.
