Rich Balling

This is the book that really turned me on to poetry. I picked it up when I was about 14 at my school library, and immediately I needed a copy of my own. About half of the pages of this book are dog eared to mark which poems have been my favorites at different points in my life.

This book was a gift from a teacher that helped me feel comfortable with reading my poetry in public and I flew threw it in 2 days. I loved getting a chance to see all these people, whose music i listened to, write their own verses aside from their lyrics to be displayed for everyone to read. I knew poetry was an outlet for me and felt quite sure that this would be a let down and was happily surprised.
