Cindy Sherman: Selected Works: 1975-1995 (Schirmer Art Books on Art, Photography and Erotics) by Elisabeth Bronfen
I bought this, years later, to remind me of a mixed-media Cindy Sherman exhibition I saw in a London art gallery. Her vision is extra-ordinary: through her lens the mundane reveals a compelling face, the obscene, an entrancing beauty and the ugly a fascination that I wouldn't have seen with my own eyes.
If you get a chance to see this book, it will be like seeing a picture of a double rainbow or an eclipse: a picture is only a record, not an experience.
