I purchased this book in 2005 in hopes that it could help my poor back, so frozen from hours of desk work that I could barely move and suffered much pain. It worked. So wonderfully that I barely refer to it any more, but keep it as a sort of talisman.

The exercises in the book are gentle and adaptable to whatever limitations one may have. The explanations are clear and concise, making it easy to choose and use the appropriate positions.

I have kept up a yoga program, and today do normal yoga show more poses. But if anything ever "seizes up" I pull this book off the shelf and find something in it that can help. show less
After three epidural lumbar injections and three different prescription painkillers to get my debilitating back pain to stop, I knew I had to find something that would help me keep the pain under control. I've been reading this book and following the programs fairhfully for almost a week and already I feel improvement. The detailed symptom descriptions elicit repeated "That's me!" explainations and I finally think I've found some answers to the mystery of why my back hurts so badly and what show more I can do to fix it - answers my doctors have simply been unable to provide. I'm SO HOPEFUL and cannot recommend this book highly enough. show less
