I was disappointed, it is very limited coverage of Roman military equipment, as it is archeological drawings from digs of various swords, spear points, arrows and other militaria that survived being buried for 15 to 20+ centuries. Which doesn't really cover "Roman Military Equipment"
Very good study of the short sword that has become an iconic symbol of an empire.
If you read no other book on this subject, read this.
Excellent resource for the archeological evidence about what Roman soldiers used for weapons and armor.
