This original version of ISBE is a necessary corrective to the newer, revised, 1979 edition. Conservative in theology, some of the materials are dated, but still useful. Isued before the discovery of the DSS, and other archeological finds; this short fall is corrected in the later, Bromiley edition.
Loaded with excellent and irreplaceable theological articles, although dated. Revised edition in 4 volumes published in 1988 by G. Bromiley.
