Beautiful paintings, NASA photographs, and amazing pop-ups combine to create a one-of-a-kind three-dimensional journey through our solar system. A spaceship lifts off from Mercury and takes readers through the cloud-shrouded mountains of Venus; the red Martian dust storms invite investigation. Travel past the volcanic moon of Jupiter, explore the mysterious rings of Saturn; orbit Uranus. [This interplanetary trip through our solar system includes the asteroid Ceres but does not include show more either Neptune or Pluto.]
Fold-out cards provide information for each stop along the way; pop-ups arise from breathtaking solar system paintings. A treat for space enthusiasts as well as for readers who appreciate fine art and the dimension created by the pop-ups.

Received this book for an honest review on NetGalley. I’m so glad this has continued on into 2018. It is such a great resource, and has such great material even for an amateur astronomer. This will inspire you to step outside and look up on a clear night.
