Ward Rutherford (2) (1927–)

In December 1942, the Allies having recently landed in Algeria, raced for Tunis confident that they would end the North African campaign shortly. Rommel had other ideas and led the German forces to decisive victories over the new American forces. Personality conflicts among the commanders on both sides led to some series errors in judgement which meant many men on both sides suffered death and imprisonment unnecessarily.
