The "spectacular" new maps and even the old ones were of little help in interpreting the main context. The three or four of them did not contribute to creating a single picture of the battle, they often even appeared to be different battles. The help of other atlases often help me clarify. There were often three different explanations or texts of the battle and they also were hard to coordinate into one consolidated explanation, much less coordinate with three maps. Only my addictive show more interest in rereading the Civil War and some interesting explanations kept me going to the end. show less
