Well made and acted courtroom drama about Henri Young, which is a real person and a real case that is much less sympathetic than the play (and movie) made him out to be. Like a lot of true crime and "based on a true story" fiction the truth needs to be massaged to be palatable, a murderer made into a perfect victim of the system who's only real crime before Alcatraz was stealing 5 dollars, because telling a story about how bad people can still be brutalized by a bad system is much show more harder.

Does fiction have an obligation to the truth? Or is anything in service of the better story ok? Questions for another day.

Don't let the title fool you. This is not another book about near-death-experiences. It's a beautifully written story about one man and his family, focusing on those moments that can either be dismissed as coincidence or taken as proof of synchronicity. The author sees them as messages, and the author is a superlative story teller. I read this book the week after my mother died and it was just the ticket.
With the exception of My Darling Clementine starring Henry Fonda, Wyatt Earp starring Kevin Costner is my fav within the OK Corral saga.
Other 4 interesting features had Harris Yulin in 'Doc', Burt Lancaster in Gunfight at the Ok Corral, James Garner in Hour of the Gun , Kurt Russell in Tombstone.
