I liked this story because it was a great alternate story to Goldilocks. I liked the illustrations in this book because they weren't full page illustrations, they were simple but really helped enhance the text. For example, when "somebody" or the bear tried out all their chairs and they were too big, too small, and just right, the illustration showed each one and the appropriate facial expressions on the bear. I also liked the characters because they were similar to the characters in show more original goldilocks but they were also developed differently and uniquely. For example, in this book, the bear enters the humans home and messes things up, which makes more sense than the original version of the story. The big idea in this book is to not try anything that isn't yours and to not invade someone's home. show less
I find myself a bit puzzled by this. It's Goldilocks in reverse, fine, but why are the family so Upper East Side? And why does the baby talk like a Little Rascal caricature from the fifties? And what's the point?

This is a very sweet retelling of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," except with a human family and a little bear that wreaks havoc. I loved this book as a child; the illustrations are bright and colorful. This would be a fun story to read to a group of very young students for story time, as many of them are probably familiar with the original fairy tale. I'm not sure how to use this in a lesson, unless we were doing a unit on fairy tales and looking at different versions of stories, which show more would be interesting. The characters don't really develop in this book as it is meant for very young audiences. show less
This story is a twist off “Goldie Locks and the Three Bears”. It is about a baby bear breaking into a humans family’s home. The bear tests all their food, chairs, and beds until he finds the right one fit for him in each of the three items.

I enjoyed this book because it lets children use their imagination! I can relate to this because my parents used to ask if we had bears over because my brother and I would wreck the house.

In the classroom, you could make a story using different show more characters and instead of using chairs, food, and beds use different items, for example, clothes or toothbrush. Another idea is to change the ending. Have the students make and act out there own story with a different ending. show less
