Controversy and coalition : the new feminist movement across three decades of change by Myra Marx Ferree
Awesome, awesome book to read if you ever want to learn about how different feminist orgs were organized and grew or died. Ironically, the feminist orgs that were most hierarchical were the ones that survived the longest...for the most part. Even egalitarian people need structure, I guess. I may return to this theme for the Ph.D. thesis.
Feminist Organizations: Harvest of the New Women's Movement (Women in the Political Economy) by Myra Marx Ferree
Another great book that I return to OFTEN to recall how feminist orgs were created, died, and thrived from the 1960s on.
