If you have never ventured into non-public education views on ancient history, this should not be your first. For that maybe start with Graham Hancock's Fingerprints of the Gods or Magicians of the Gods (this is a sequel to Fingerprints). If, however you are already aware of Buval's OCT and or other questions raised by Hancock, West, Wilson, and Schoch, to name but a few, then you will find Collins' latest work of great interest.

Gobekli Tepe: Genesis of the Gods: The Temple of the Watchers and the Discovery of Eden by Andrew Collins
The thing about books like this (and Erich von Däniken, et al -- narrated, of course, by Vincent Price) is their travelog side. This book does not disappoint. Plus at the end (or the second half) is a wildly speculative essay on how Neanderthals may have been responsible!! If you're looking for science, this is not the place to search. Still, it's pretty fun, especially the search for 'The Garden of Eden.'
Gobekli Tepe: Genesis of the Gods: The Temple of the Watchers and the Discovery of Eden by Andrew Collins
Beautifully written book describing Gobekli Tepe and the author's journey to discover why it was built. Even if you don't agree with the author's hypothesis, there is still a lot of interesting information in this book.
