James Sanders (1) (1955–)

James Sanders, an architect, is the cowriter with Ric Burns of the seven-part, fourteen-and-a-half-hour PBS series New York: A Documentary Film -- which received an Emmy Award and an Alfred I. duPont -- Columbia University Silver Baton Award -- and coauthor with Burns and Lisa Ades of its companion show more volume, New York: An Illustrated History. He has written for the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Vanity Fair, Architectural Record, and Interiors, and has produced exhibitions on New York housing and the urban heritage of 42nd Street.
