A biographical overview of hillbilly music, it's arranged sort of chronologiclly, and sort of thematically. It consists of thumbnail biographs, usually a couple of pages, which often include graphics. An excellent single source for non specialists, it also provides lists of CDs after each biography.
Unfortunately, there's neither an index nor a table of contents, so you have to flip through to find any particular artist.
