The Movements of the New Left, 1950-1975: A Brief History with Documents by Van Gosse

Movements of the New Left is an excellent contribution to Bedford's series books introducing historical topics through selected documents. Van Gosses's 38 page introduction is probably the best short summary of New Left history available and the 45 documents provide good coverage of the various aspects of what was a very diverse movement.

This book will be of great value to students and teachers in any history course the covers the 1960s in the United States.
