A better than average collection of stories, ranging from Poe to Patricia Highsmith. They mercifully pass over anything by Le Fanu, German stories about being out on stormy nights, and the mephitic fug that was the internecine horror guild of the late 80s to early/mid 90s.
Collection of short stories, on the horror or odd-sort side. "The Lovers", "The End of the Party", "Mars Is Heaven", "Lot No. 249", "A Watcher By the Dead", and "Skeleton", I really liked, by John Cross, Graham Greene, Ray Bradbury, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Ambrose Bierce and Ray.
