The Balkan Wars: Conquest, Revolution and Retribution from the Ottoman Era to the Twentieth Century and Beyond by Andre Gerolymatos
I finished this book and wondered "Where was the middle?" The author provided a lot of historical context for the Balkan Wars, especially those of the 1990's, but found little detail about the actual wars. His book is a solid literature review for anyone who wants to study the subject more extensively. However, I was hoping for an update on Stavrianos' work and more of a bridge between that history and events since 1958.
