Written in the context of Watergate era attack on "rogue" intelligence agaencies this is a defense written by a retired Lt. Col. and US Marine intelligence Officer with deep China experience, not just the usual Vietnam veteran's view. A history of the creation of Intelligence networks after the 1947 National Security Act, which created among other things, the CIA. To be taken seriously as a study of the relationship between US Presidents and their security and intelligence support.
