Giant aliens inhabit a stretch of land between the US and Mexico.

Character-focussed indie science fiction? About giant aliens? I haven't been guaranteed to love a movie this much since Wall-E. And I hated it. So, so bad.

On the other hand - Edwards has no money or manpower, and his special effects are some of the best I've seen all year.

Giant monsters smash.

The focus is on the characters, which is great from the standpoint of teasing the monster, but also kind of awful since the characters are not even remotely interesting. It's a lot better than I expected it to be, though. Godzilla kicks ass, and the movie's a lot of fun whenever he's around.

Loved the sarky robot, had a feeling that the end was inevitable and it was well done. I enjoyed watching it and look forward to watching it again.
The seventh movie in the Jurassic Park series. A team is put together to go in and get blood samples from the three largest dinosaurs. On their way in they rescue a family from a boat capsized by a Mosasaurus. They are then attacked my the Mosasaurus and their boat is made useless. They group is separated and everyone has to survive on a forbidden island, while getting the samples.

Not a bad movie but it does feel like it follows a previously used script. I was also not a fan of the last big show more bad dino, it reminded me too much of a Star Wars monster. show less
