I loved learning more here about a woman with autism, and I felt an inner “yup” happen when reading many of her stories. I am undiagnosed although I’d like to find out more about myself; I do have to remember that not every person with autism is alike, so just because I’ve never had any meltdown like the author doesn’t mean that would negate a diagnosis. I appreciate the author sharing her story, and I wish there were even more out there.
Rarely do I laugh out loud reading non-fiction but I did here with Kim's book. A mix of telling stories of her own life while working in some of the science of the brain and some how-to tips and tricks for aspies and the ones who love them, this was a great read overall.
Nothing wrong with other books for Aspies - after all, we're all different. But this book helped our family more.
