The facts in this book are not so "Amazing and Extraordinary" to anyone who knows anything about railways. But it is a useful little reference book about a selection of interesting railway trivia. It is not comprehensive in any way - it's a subjective and eclectic selection.
A look at closed railways, and how they look now, with plenty of pictures of how they used to look while still in use
Superb shots from the steam age,usefull early colour photos.Biographies on the photographers featured.
