Dominick Graham has missed a unique opportunity to bring understanding to the character of the brilliant, but shy even aloof, General G.G. Simonds. As a result, Simonds appears doomed to remain as misunderstood by later generations as he was by his own. Merely scratching the surface, the reader is not given a fuller appreciation of Simonds.
