This is a wonderful introduction to yoga for any Christian who might be concerned with the historical religious/spiritual connections of yoga. Roth describes some beautiful relationships between the human mind and body and the Creator God, Redeemer Christ, and Sanctifier Spirit. In addition, she walks the reader through a series of exercises, each with a Christian mantra and Psalm verse. The book is laid out in an easy to follow format. The included audio disc goes through the exercises show more sequences, and the voice is soothing and gentle.

“Since the human body does not vary according to religion, it is not surprising that exercises which originated in Hinduism can be readily incorporated into another theological context.” -Nancy Roth, An Invitation to Christian Yoga
