Stevi Mittman

This book has been on my TBR list for quite a while. I finally tracked down a copy. I enjoyed it and I think it lived up to its reputation. It started out pretty angsty but moved on from that element fairly early. The hero definitely done her wrong and then had to earn her trust again. I expected to have more description of the first marriage, more rolling around in his angst if you will but the book never really went there. We learned very little about the first marriage. The story was show more really very much about the fallout of bringing the heroine's nieces and nephew to live with them. Anyway I enjoyed it. show less

I only read Virginia Henley historical romance which I liked although it was heavy with period oppression of women. Unjustly fired, Joy seeks job as governess for daughter of Lord Noel. My rating is 3.5* because his behavior near end was overboard for true love.

I won this book at a conference and I loved it. It made me cry despite the fact that I am a tough, cynical writer. :^)

This was an amazing book, i totaly reccomend it! I read all day! It is so frightening, exciting and sweet all at the same time!
