Gail, you seem introspective... life is an eye-blink. I have to agree.
I think I'm done with yard work for a few days... I have plenty left, but might save it for Tuesday. I'm
glad that you have a doctor free day. I am very serious about Saturday being a jammie day. I might request a picture...
Those Wolf Spiders sound horrifying in the extreme... yikes! Do they have a purpose of any kind?
Ahhh worthless but harmless sounds like a good idea now and then. palate cleansing :) ((((Gail)))
Nice to see you breezing through, as always :)

About to launch into the world - much too early :{
But by the time my class starts I should be awake.
Hope you have a nice day.

It is a rainy, overcast Thursday. Will took Lilly outside and she came in with a wet coat of fur. Lilly loves the rain and outdoors. In fact, she loves it when we water flowers so she can jump under the water and get wet.
I hope your day is a good one!

Morning Kath! Hope it's off to a good start. We had to have the dogs at the groomers early this am, so we are up and running. Just about to have my first cup of coffee and figure out what needs to be done today. How about you? Anything exciting going on? What's for dinner?
15mckait
Mamie... my sleeping mascot? You have stumped me.
It was so funny yesterday, Owen kept crawling behind the chairs ( there is a bookcase back there in a tiny space between, that only fits very small boys.. ) He kept getting books, and crawling out with them. Two of them, he brought to me! One was left abandoned when he decided to make a crawl for the back door..
Oliver was busy building remotes with bristle blocks. The only time he is still is when someone is hanging on...
Genny ;) So happy you popped in !
calm, you too! and welcome..
Cee ! Oh yea, class day.. have fun and come back to tell us all about it. I hope you have a very very pleasant and enjoyable day, too. Oh and I am a fan of teeny toes, too.
Lynda... I am going to have to agree. Glad to see you!
Hi Gail... I was late coming in.. I had to do the bike thing and clean... now I am free as a bird!!
I like to imagine myself in a place like that.. With Duncan and a book. I hope you are back later :)
Linda....Funny Lilly :) Dunkers is not a fan of being wet... I like walking in the rain, he does not. He does not like being sprinkled with the hose ( I do ) He just likes his comfort...
Mamie... talk about jump starting your day.... going out with no coffee! yipe!
Have a nice one. No plans for the day .. just day stuff... a little cooking etc. My cleaning is done ...
Hope to see you later :) I am very late starting here today :P

Hi Kath,
I think Woolly wants to say hi! She is persistently climbing on me and laptop now that I am writing to you.
I read a very sweet little book about a cat last night to sooth my grumpiness. It was The Fur Person by May Sarton. She was a Maine writer and I think was part cat herself as she seemed to totally understand a cat's pov.
Sounds like you had a good day yesterday :-)

Hi Mark... I use a few other spices here and there, but to each cook her own, like books...
Valerie... glad to see you found a good cozy place to park! I love this time of year so much!
Gail... hope to see you around later and hope the appt. went well.
Stas, I know.. love them to bits.. Owen is so strong! and what he really wants now, is DOWN most of the time, so he can rush from here to there. He and Oliver were run/crawling around the house this morning. You can make a circle through their rooms. ( I love that ) and Oliver made about 4 trips to Owens one, but Owen totally "got" it.. He has a soft bin full of his toys.. ( meaning the ones Oliver will allow him to play with that were never ever his, no matter how long ago he outgrew them) but he loves his bin! And the shelf of books..
Mamie.. you mean more crazy?!?!? sounds pretty scary from here.. Hope it's only a wee bit more crazy... Company coming right? Have fun :) Better take 2 deep breaths.
Cee.... Hi to you and to Wooly! Hug each other for me . I am tired today. really. Have fun shopping, buy you something! Does the cat in the book live? If yes, I might have to investigate the book for me :)
Aw gee... thanks Paul, I love it too...
I got up .. did the bike thing, made haluski then groceries and errands...delivered haluski here and there.. visited the nephlets. Served Dan lunch. I am tired. Felt really done this morning. Had a wee bit o the haluski myownself dishes await.

Right - company coming. But they will take furniture with them when they leave - WahHOO! SO, that will give a huge boost to my Great Unhaving.
35-Cee-
Yes, Kath. The foundling kitty, Tom Jones - Cat of Peace (after a trip to the hospital, hehehe) - lives to the end and you would love this book.
The book is based on an actual cat who adopted the author and lived long ago - so in RL the cat has already gone to the Rainbow Bridge (as has May Sarton). But the story does not allude to it at all. VERY sweet book.

I do so love crapooshki. Only I deviate from your ur-recipe by using leftover mashies.
I spent a horrible night growing more crystals. Some hope after a morning on the phone that Medicaid will cover me starting now since I have a disability award letter. Too early to say hallelujah, but edging in the proper direction.
Oh does the hand/shoulder/elbow complex hurt. Oh my yes. Ow.

Cee... sweet sounds good. I could barely drag myself out of bed today, with my kitties piked around me. My Dunkers has the belly growls today.. I hate when that happens.. he won't eat, and eating is the only thing that helps him.
Sorry rdear.. that plain old stinks.. hope your efforts are fruitful... crossing crossables.. and hoping for you to feel better soon...
Thanks Laura :) nice to see you :) and thank you!

My niece has Celiac disease, so that makes carry out very tricky, otherwise I would totally do that. We will probably do baked potato bar - where we bake the potatoes and then make up a bar of all different kinds of toppings for them, Grilled chicken breasts with veggies, or something like tortilla soup or make your own nachos. First. I have to determine just home many people are coming - YIKES!
40mckait
Yeah... that does make things tricky... but if anyone is up to the challenge,it's you ( and Cee) and I think the potato bar sounds wonderful!!!

Sorry I cant listen to the song, Kath. Wilbur activated some kind of voice-over on the computer so that everything it does is talked over by a robot american guy. cest la vie, I mainly type anyway. :)
PS glad you liked my request for information on Marks thread....regarding the ending of a film, you'd think it'd be easy to know who won a boxing match wouldnt you? But no, not in Meganland :)

What a great thing to do -- find an auction and buy things you want!!!!
We also have a library card file bank of drawers. Alas, this piece of furniture takes up one wall and we don't have the space so we have it in our basement.
I love the image of you cooking and having great fun doing this.

Hello from Meganland. (quiet threads today as well?)
I had a great and sunny day today, a birthday book first thing, coupled with 2 hours of solid uninterrupted amazingly awesome and super-appreciated reading.
Could this be just about the best day? Nearly.

Thanks Cee :) I am going to go out and gather some lemon balm and mint today, so I can dry them..
I always hope to get up just a tad bit before the sun, then I get back out of the basement before it is light :)
Linda... my neighbor dragged me to this one because my dryer is dying.. she has been haunting auctions for a while now. So I went to the preview on thursday. ( it is around the corner from my house) and saw the dryer.. wasn't sure if I would bid on it.. but it is like new. The one i have is second hand and is 12-15ish at least, I have had it that long. It has not been working quite right for a year now. The card catalog is a bonus. I found it in the garage. Good idea? Remains to be seen.
Megan, so this is the day of the the birth of Megan and meganland? I hope it has been wonderful so far ! And just for good measure, I hope tomorrow is just as good!
OMG what a beautiful baby... no wonder people keep having them despite expense and lack of sleep and etc after they arrive :) Thank you for sharing :)
I am good to go this morning, and hope you are all the same :)
so..
I watched Doctor Who last night with a friend.. the one who got me hooked on the show just in time to lose the Ponds.. *weep* But I was assured that there is a possibility that they will turn up again somewhen or somewhere. River Song was in last nights episode, and that was some comfort... it was great, terrible and I have to watch it again.

Hi Kath!
Wow - all kinds of fun things going on over here:
new dryer, herb drying, birthday, baby, front door deco
I feel boring.
Went to a pot luck supper last night and ate so much I am ashamed of myself - but holy cow! You should have seen all the great food. I just couldn't not try everything. I thought I would be awake groaning all night but I slept like a log.
Think I will be hopping on Ron's treadmill today. How much walking do I need to do to work off a ginormous supper?
I thought this gathering was to be a small group and it turned into about 40 people. Seemed like the whole town was there! Good thing I doubled my crabmeat dip recipe!
Hope you have a wonderful day ;-)

Morning Kath! Looks like you are having a fine weekend. WahHOO about the dryer and the card cabinet - what a GREAT idea! Sounds perfect for what you will be using it for. Feel like I've had my moment of zen after seeing first: the beautiful sleeping baby...sigh...and then: Linda's gorgeous flower garden...OHHhhhh...

I do love Doctor Who.. is Christmas a new season, or just one show? I didn't get that ?
I will miss Amy more than Rory, because she has such a cute accent :) and she is more a part of it... Rory just sort of gets bumped around a lot :( poor guy.
Cee, your life is so far from boring! You are always running from one thing to another and back again.
If I went to a pot luck I would eat a ginormous amount, too. In fact, I might just leave with a bowl of crab dip and hide ... after I did... yummy. You live in a great town, you do indeed.....
Treadmills scare me. I am pretty sure I would find a way to get hurt. Mine is an old one .. built before electricity was created. I stay off of that thing. My ankles tend to give out at inopportune moments.. I can see me falling off and cracking ... something. GAH! My advice is to stay off the devil, or at the very least, only be on it if Ron is home.

Envious of your card catalog purchase - been looking for one for YEARS here (that's under $200) and they're nowhere to be found. *pout*
Have not watched any of the new Doctor Who yet, am saving it up for... well, I don't know when, but for something good! Plus, I need to get another box of kleenex b/c I know when the Ponds go I will sob like a little girl.
Happy Sunday to you!

Happy Sunday, Kath! Treadmills are okay by me, but it sounds like you're wise to stay off yours. Nothing wrong with just plain walking.

This is it.. nothing big, nothing fancy.. it is just a teeny about chest height to me? one and it was much less than that.. I sought out our own Porchsitter ( sadly absent recently) for advice in how much to bid, and she helped me and was kind :) She has her own site, as she sell's antiques... it is a fun place to browse and shop!

Hi, Kath. Congrats on acquiring the card file and dryer. My dryer acts like it's getting ready to die. It's almost 20 years old. I guess that's pretty good, to last that long.
87vancouverdeb
Stopping by to say hi! Miss a day or two and so much blue! I love your beautiful picture of the yellow leaved trees! Gorgeous! My dryer is likely on it's last legs too. It works fine - but the timer sometimes fails to work and would dry the clothes for hours if I did turn the dryer off! So, it's not too bad, but I have to keep an eye on it. I guess it's just the timer - but you know how that goes.... :)
88mckait
Thanks Linda.. you were right, I was pretty tired 2 plus hours of walking around with the family ( bad shoes, sneakers suddenly hurt ) tiring :P
Hi Terri.. hope it was a good thing..
Deb, dryers are tough! They hold on well...
Woke to a weird dream this morning .... Dreamed I was walking into the living room, and heard on TV that coming up was a report that She__l Mc____ , art teacher had died, and they were going to report on her life of teaching special needs children. I fell to my knees.. it was a dream, mind you... After a moment of panic on waking.. I realized that dreams of death means life changing event. . She was a fr... well I thought she was a friend. I haven't heard from her since I left... no response to emails ....etc.
Anyway.. I hope the life event was a good one for her.
I heard yesterday that one of the "kids" my kids had known in while we lived in Conway had died at his own hand last year. He was always troubled. Terrible thing. He left behind 4 kids and 2 grandkids .. he was 40. I knew his mom well... but years ago, after years of her "stopping by" and staying for 6 or more hours.. and being not nice to my furkids ( she hates animals.. her kids used to bring the strays and hurt animals they found to me . ) I just stopped it. I stopped answering the door/phone and sent her that poem about how my dog lives here....I heard this because the mom used to be a docent where I went to the festival yesterday... someone else I knew there mentioned it.
But, all in all it was a good day, and it was a good tired... I never did get to read though, because I was busy trying to arrange a truck for today, because a certain neighbor said that all of her things would fit in the van... and so their truck would not be available.. . Hmm. Still not sorted, so wish me luck.
So we shall see what the day brings....
I hope it will be good things for all of us.

The Angel's Kiss: A Melody Malone Mystery comes out Thursday. It's the book River wrote in the season ender.
Synopsis: On some days, New York is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
This was one of the other days…
Melody Malone, owner and sole employee of the Angel Detective Agency, has an unexpected caller. It’s movie star Rock Railton, and he thinks someone is out to kill him. When he mentions the ‘kiss of the Angel’, she takes the case. Angels are Melody’s business…
At the press party for Railton’s latest movie, studio owner Max Kliener invites Melody to the film set of their next blockbuster. He’s obviously spotted her potential, and Melody is flattered when Kliener asks her to become a star. But the cost of fame, she’ll soon discover, is greater than anyone could possibly imagine.
Will Melody be able to escape Kliener’s dastardly plan – before the Angels take Manhattan?

Mamie.. I have a shirt that is literally falling apart. I had to cut off the cuffs ( long sleeves) since they were falling off. I still wear it to the store. I have had it for 15 yrs or more. it is light denim and embroidered and beaded with herbs and wildflowers. the fabric won't hold mending any more. So... I say wear your ugly sweatshirt out. I say this because mine is uglier, I'm sure.

Caro... I had a few bad moments myself. But I found it in my file cabinet... with a couple of short stories and some bad poetry :) Had some letters from former employers ( not the last one.. oops) and some very pale ivory paper. I walked down to the post office and mailed it.. so it's on the way. I emailed a couple of long time friends in case they want personal references. ( It is startling to realize how many RL friends I don't have ....I came up with 4 who would work.. not just acquaintances )
rd.. true enough. Sorry about the techno hell. They have themselves layered in pretty well..... just had that conversation with Margie ....about reporting a business to? Who? and if you figure out who, how? No people answer the phone, no forms are sent out.. sigh..
So I sent it.. they wanted resumes in by the 10th. My chances are slim,no experience for this job.. but nothing ventured nothing gained...so? All mojo is appreciated.

If it's a CBC production, I wonder who in the US picked it up? *potter off to google it up*
From tv-eh.com (Canadian TV site HAHAHA):

Linda.. I didn't like it much at all in the beginning. The last third of the book is what brought it up in my esteem. I'm glad it was a Vine book, which meant that I had to read it... if not, I would have given up on in after the first third of the book.. halfway through I was thinking 2.5....

I'll have to read that review, Kath. I have a different picture of Gamache, too, and I'll have Ellen's problem of separately Parker from the Inspector Lynley role, but at least he's a good actor.

Hi Joe, well.. we may not have to worry about it any time soon... I wonder who will pick it up here?
Thanks Gail.. I just try my best to be honest and to not create spoilers.
Good morning hugs to you, Cee! Are you all furry now from my houseful of shedders?

LOL Hard to tell. I have a couple of my own!
What if you put a few candles and aromas in your basement for your biking adventures?

Hi Mark, and thank you :) hope your day has been good, too.. Snow falling out west.. uh oh!
Hi Joe! Thank you !
Cee... true! Hmm.... that isn't a bad idea :) You should see me though. I practically run and jump on the stupid thing so the sooner I start, the sooner it wil be over:P The one I got from the auction is much nicer, and tells me how much time , how many calories and how far I went. I have decided that 4 miles is good instead of 30 minutes, and will try to do that ... thats what I did today.. 4 miles in thirty minutes with it dialed halfway.. whatever that means. Then when I can do 4 miles in less time and still not finish up dead, I will change it up. Lighting candles might slow down my beeline to the bike .. LOL
Thanks Valerie.. it has been a good day indeed.
Hope everyone had a day that was at least as nice as mine. I saw the nephlets and talked to a good friend. I also didn't have to really cook, because I made a meatloaf yesterday.. so, day off~

4 miles in 30 minutes?!?! Are you some sort of human dynamo? I do 3 miles in 40 and think I'm WonderWoman reborn. That's on pavement, but still...
*hangs head*
Funny, I talked to a good friend today, too.
Dh still off his food.. Thinking fried egg sandwich for supper; so minimal cooking there.

Gail... Toast! Toast is good when not feeling well... adding an egg sounds like supper to me..
As for the 4 miles.. the bike might be wrong.. and there were 2-3 super bursts of energy pedaling that lasted 3-4 seconds.. lol
Walking is better. I hate my hill.. so? 3 miles is fabulous! On the bike, I can read... in spurts, when I am not busy trying to not have a heart attack or something..

The Art Forger looks good.
If I see it at a book fair I will grab it, but I dont think Ill seek it out just yet, too much on my plate at present with my recent hauls. Not that Im complaining of course, Ive left my latest lot out so I can glance over the pile every time I go past. I made the mistake with my last haul of shelving them too quickly, and now Im not 100% sure of what I even got!
Poached egg on toast = my favourite comfort food. (even better on a hash brown!)

If I started at 10:45p EDT, five minutes from now, and walked for 40min, I'd have reached the corner, sat down, and been sobbing for ~10min or so.

Cee and Rdear: Lol. Really. I know it seems impossible, but it's not hard at all. But then, I don't have gout. A few other maladies, but not that.
Mornin' Kath! Second cup of coffee going here. Foggy with a chance of sun later today. Cool and damp--ahhhh--just like home. Hope today works out well for you, very calm, reading, fur persons avaiable as needed (or not needed, knowing how fur persons are).

My poor neighbor had a rude awakening this morning. She woke to gas fumes and smoke alarms. Vol. Fire dept made it VERY quickly after 911 finished asking me who I was and took their time calling them out. But, all is well. She couldn't come in, as she is allergic to cats. So we sat outside for 2.5 hours. She was afraid to go back into her house until the plumber got there.
You know those plumbers that Dan likes that I don't? They checked her furnace earlier this week and gave it a clean bill of health. Today, fumes, alarms.. scared her half to death. She had questioned the type of filter they put in, as it was different from what she was used to seeing.. they said it would be fine. Sigh.
I cannot get my feet to feel warm.. lol. She is so funny. No hesitation to tell you what she wants... or needs. Impressive. In between VFD and plumber/furnace man, Dan walked her home to get a warmer jacket and check her money. The fire dept was good.. they were here in no time. They were very kind and nice to her.. all volunteers..
The morning seems like a dream ... it is just gone! I will catch up with threads as I can...
Right now I have to empty the dryer and make some food decisions. Hope all is well with you all :)

Hiya, Kath! Hope your feet warm up and it's a good weekend. My daughter got a call last week that they could smell gas in her apartment. Turned out her clever little dog Sherlock had turned on the stove (but not enough to light)! So now she's going to keep the stove turn-on knobs in a drawer when she's not using them.

On Lynley/Gamache, I think that there should be a rule somewhere that stops actors playing two bestselling detectives within 12 years of each other hahaha.

Megan, I know what you mean... it is a lovely thing to have too many books, but it is a wee bit stressful when so many of them call your name, right?
Cee, Thank you so much for the lovely book! It even feels like a soothing read! You are so thoughtful :)
rd... I hate the bike, and I hate my hill.. sigh
Joanne... thank you :) nice to see you visiting .. as always !
Gail... You sneaked in while I was typing my morning post. It has been a bit crazy this morning. I am barely getting caught up with myownself :P
I managed to get my 2 cups in, while Betty was here. She preferred tea, no caffeine and honey.. lol. Crisp this morning.. 47.. a little cooler than I usually like for extended porch sitting.. but my feet finally did warm up..
Joe, finally! I have warm feet .. lol @ the dog story :)
Paul...lol.. you might be on to something :)
Okay, the bike.. I might have the distance thing wrong. I am going to have to go down there and see.. when it isn''t dark and I am not dripping sweat and wanting coffee. This morning it said 7.8 distance, and a lot more calories. I think. Maybe I will check it out later.. I am sure that I didn't double the distance and calories in one day.... I am not an exercise machine person at all. I might just go ahead and just pedal for 30 minutes and never mind what is flashing in front of me. Seems better.
Ok..floors are done, Dunkers food is cooking, and third load of laundry almost ready to go into the dryer. Good thing I started early :)

Chelle... I am thinking about putting on the fireplace... we might have frost tomorrow! yay! Bug Killing Frost!
Caro.. Always welcome.. I will make some hot buttered rum :) and some hot chocolate with marshmallows.
Terri... it was fine, all is well.. she has great kids ( my age - about my oldest sons age!) Her youngest came and got her and they went out for a while. I think she will be fine. She is very religious, too. so even though she lives alone, she falls back on that, a lot...so.. I made sure she knows that even if she needs us in the middle of a night, we might not hear her knock, but Duncan will.
I'm feeling tired today.... reading The Key, but even though it's good, I am finding my mind wandering.
Also, there was no brief recap referencing the previous book.. and it took me about 60 pages or so to remember vital info.. that just annoyed me.

Duh! Really Kath?
Come on Kath and Mamie - join us on the floor with pillows, snacks and books.
After *standing* for the entire night serving ham dinners (why did you let them take me away??? I was so nice and comfy) I am truly hurtin'.
I thought I'd be on the dessert table, but I got stuck in the hot kitchen. Oh well.
We made a good profit. Surprised actually :-)
Need a nice long drink of something. Where's Dunker's water bowl? Good enough... it's on the floor.

Hi Kath. Just swinging by to see how things are over on your thread. I like the fluffy socks Richard brought along for folks.....
Yum to hot buttered rum.... it must be chilly in your neck of the woods. We've been having one of the most gorgeous autumns I can recall in years!! Today we went to the zoo and it was sunny but cool and the animals were quite active. There are 5-month-old Snow Leopard cubs that were playing. So cute I could hardly stand it.
I hope you have a peaceful Sunday.

Wow, Kath; sounds exciting! And a teensy bit scary as well...but I feel it'll be a good thing for you.
A quiet Sunday; Dh not feeling like eating much but is improving in almost every other way. My daughter's coming for a visit Tuesday, but had left the arrangements sort of up in the air, so I called and said, "Are ya still comin' or what?" She just laughed and said of course she is. It will be so nice to have in-person time; it's been pretty scarce for a while. So that is a very, very good thing in my life.
Hope the workshop is everything you want it to be.

Strange. But I can't think of anyone who died that I really want to talk to. Hmmm. Let's see who shows up in my dreams tonight :{

Thumbs-upped and "liked" Lola.
If Chuckles shows up and messages me, tell him I want those eyeblinks spent on his tedious, crapulous emissions back or they's gonna be a rumble when I get there.

Hi Cee! Hey, maybe you will have spirits included for free? We'll compare notes....
Who knows, for me.... this year Aliquippa, tomorrow.. the world??
Thanks rd... I don't hold out much hope of having CD show up.. but if he does, all I can do is listen.. sorry...
maybe if you write him a note ?
I was up early, thanks to Morgan ... but it's just as well.. I have to go and do a few things and be home in time to cook.... something for Dan. Burgers?
Chilly morning
So last night one of my neighbors was taken off in an ambulance. No idea why. In fact there ambulances, I was told.. I only saw the one leave. I think it was the young guy across the street....hope he is okay...

Good morning Kath - lots of things seem to happen in your neighbourhood. Hope whoever was taken away in an ambulance is OK.
The workshop sounds fascinating - hope you find the place. Good idea to check it out before the actual day.
Hope today has fewer goings on for you. with time for furkid snuggles and reading.

Ah... well... spirits at the cottage? Hmmm. If so, they'd better behave. I rechecked the listing online last night for a reminder of details and saw the price per week just went up $200. So now I feel even more like we got a bargain! YAY!
39 degrees outside when I got up this morning. No frost yet :(
Have a good day!

Right back at ya Stas....
No frost here yet, sadly. But it was in the thirties .....when I went out.
I am very proud of myself. I went out to pay to hold my spot for the workshop, and find my way
to where it's going to be. It was a huge detour because of a bridge being closed. I found my way, and did not.. did NOT have an anxiety attack. Despite the fact that my Tom Tom kept trying to take to a completely different route. And I found the way back. Again, no anxiety. This is huge for me. srsly.

That's brilliant Kath - sounds like even the thought of attending the workshop has had a positive affect.

Thanks calm. It started with the Bookfest.. then I went to the Erntefest.. and WANTED to go to the PowWow ( and I will, maybe sunday.. maybe saturday EVENING!... srsly. Evening. ) And The job application, and not having anxiety over that ( aside from the normal will I won't I get it and do I want it)
I feel like I have finally wrung out most of the bad energy from the last job that built up over the years. I still have "moments" but it is manageable now. Not debilitating like it was for so long. :)
hugs back to you :)

This is fabulous, huge news! I am so pleased for you! *smoochiesmoochsmooch*

Way to go, Kath! I didn't know (and probably should have) that you battle anxiety. Very cool to have handled that w/o an anxiety attack.

Smoochies back to you rd... I don't know how or when but.. it has been a good few weeks.
Thanks Joe :)

So, how are things in Aliquippa? If I'd known you were heading There...i would have had my friend Jody keep an eye out for you...LOL
Am glad your trip was anxiety-free.....and, that the "bad energy" is finally moving out of your life.
It was chilly here today...I had to go into town during the After School Rush...but, grocery shopping wasn't that bad...and now I'm home ready to put on my Jammies..

Kath, so glad you had a successful and anxiety-free drive to and from your workshop site. A detour like that would probably be enough to have me white-knuckling the steering wheel.

:) Gail.. so nice to se you ... no schedules here.. come and go as you please, and as you can . I can't remember.. does your daughter have a specialty diet like Cee's ? Or is she a burger and fries and spaghetti kinda gal? I am glad the weather is adding to the pleasure.. and hope it keeps up for a long time! I bet you are thrilled to be seeng the kid ( if only they knew .. sigh ) and hope the visit is fun and happy to the max.
jude.. Aliquippa looks much like it did last time I was there... :P sadly. If Ambridge bridge was open it would save me many miles and much time :-/ It opens next month :P ( I hope ) Nice to see you:)
Terri, believe me.. I had a moment or two. Tom Tom kept saying turn around asap! turn right then right again.. blah blah. It was much farther away than I expected, so whew! I am pleased though :)
I cant find a book that calls out to me :( drat

Would be my gran definitely - miss her every day. Writer probably Dylan Thomas to see if they allow prodigious quantities of nectar up there, or Will to see if he really did write all those plays by his lonesome. Historical figure Richard III -did you knock off your nephews?
Good luck with the course Kath.

Hi Kath,
I had a most heinous anxiety attack once. The physicality of it was frightening (along with the other aspects), and I am truly grateful that it was a oncer and I have had no sense of foreboding that another one will show itself. Ever. I hope your farewelling of that feeling continues too!
When do you find out about the job? GOOD LUCK (that was yelled to the ether, not in an aggressive manner, one just has to talk loud to get the attention of the job-deciding-people)

Yeah, well. I *did* have a weird dream last night. I think I have eaten enough meals now to tell you w/o it coming true :P
Who showed up in my dreams:
I was given a defective newborn (brain damage) and I tried hard to nurture it - but - it died on me. That's as far as I got...
Didn't care for that dream :(
So, I guess I still can't think of anyone I want to talk to on the other side. I can wait til I get there.
Sorry - can't help you with a book selection. I don't know what you have. How about checking the library for an e-book loan. Or even Ammy - they have free loans for people who havethat service you have (forget what it is called)... prime membership. You have a Kindle app don't you?
Edited to be more clear.

I cannot wait to hear about the workshop. I'm a believer!!! When my beloved grandmother died eleven years ago, I was a mess. Shortly thereafter she connected with me three times in ways that there could be no doubt it was her.
I felt so much better after that.

Paul... there are any number of people I wouldn't mind hearing from. But this is more than that for me.
RD no rush... there will be more of them.
Caro... I have a stack of PD James books.. I am going to try to figure out the order and read the first one, I think.. I know I don't have all of the ones in the series, but I will read the ones I have in order. I have to find the list. At least, I think that's what I'll read. I am reading one on kindle when I bike.. ( part of the time anyway.. the part when I can breathe) and it is a lightweight, fluffy ghost story that is fun and pretty darn well done. Liking it.
Megan. That was my life for a fairly long time. Then the panic attacks. Some VERY bad ones. The agoraphobia is an old enemy that I battled for nearly 40 years.... when I think about it. IT started after Craig was born...he is 38. But it was never as bad as it grew to be while I was at my last job. Other stressors at work made it .. well hard to describe. As for the job, they are taking resumes until tomorrow. So.. I suspect it will be a while. Perplexing really... wondering why they waited until AFTER Donna retired to begin to look for someone to fill her position??
Cee... yikes on the dream. That must have been very disturbing on so many levels.. You know it was all symbolic though, right? A new challenge that you won't like well enough to do it as it should be done?Or that is just one thing too many or too much to deal with? Or, too much pie. As for the workshop... it's all about the experience. There is no one that I need to talk to... but if I could choose... which I can't of course... it would be.............?
I was contacted by my grandmother, too... once, and indirectly, with an affirmation that was undeniable. It helped. It has carried me through losses ever since. I will tell you all about it.. promise.
Bonnie! A Bonnie visit! Thank you for stopping by.. I know that I have lost track of you as well... I knew someone here lived by Lily Dale. So, if I cook and clean can I visit for a week next season? I can't remember.. not even sure if I ever asked... Do you go for their workshops?
Thank you for the coffee GAil :) good timing! But why so early today?? Will your daughter arrive in the morning?

Yay for find the courage to make it on your own and without any anxiety! That is a HUGE achievement and brag worthy, Kath!
Okay, you are one brave soul with the course. I am definitely curious to see how your experience goes. Will hold your hand in spirit as I'm too chicken to venture in that realm, imaginary ten foot pole in hand or not! :)
