Happy Easter everyone!

Added two books to my inventory today:
Across the Nightingale Floor - BM/LT
Water for Elephants - BM/LT

And I have another book I added about a month ago which I'm surprised that it hasn't yet been mooched:
Freedom: Short Stories Celebrating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Amnesty International) - BM/LT

I send worldwide

I'll be adding two children's books to my inventory soon, and thought I'd list them here first.

The Grey King by Susan Cooper
The Black Cauldron by Lloyd Alexander Requested

The first is a Newbery Medal winner, and the second is a Newbery Honor Book.

The Grey King is starting to yellow slightly, but is otherwise in very good condition.
The Black Cauldron is in giftable condition.

If you're interested, send me a PM. I'll be adding them to my inventory in the next day or so.

Edited to fix my typing.

Geophile, what cover does The Grey King have? I am looking for this cover to match a set.

>5 macsbrains:

Sorry, macsbrains -- it's an older edition.

Funnily enough, the reason it's up for mooch is that I bought a copy new, to match the covers on my set.

I'm surprised nobody seems to want The Host by Stephenie Meyer - it's on 676 wishlists.

Somebody finally mooched it.

I am getting ready to add a couple dozen books to my inventory, and most of these books are wishlisted and in very good condition. Would anyone like to snag at them first?

Because of the large number of books and the detailed condition notes I have written for them, I've listed all the books up on a Moochable collection within a secondary LT account instead of listing each book individually here on this thread.

The Moochable collection is available here:
http://www.librarything.com/catalog/nonsense/moochable

I've set a suggested viewing style for this collection that shows:
Coverart
Title
Author
ISBN
Comments (the detailed condition notes)
Tags

I cannot afford to ship outside of the US at this time, but I would be thrilled to ship through a BookMooch Angel — just say the word if you want a book and I'll reserve it on your behalf.

If you would like to snag a book, please leave a comment in the Nonsense account. (I thought that by directing all comments to the Nonsense account I'd cut down on different people pouncing on the same book. I appologize most profusely if this is at all confusing, with me posting in this thread under one account but directing you to another one.)

I'll try to move any books that have been snagged out of the Moochable collection and into a Reserved collection as well, to help avoid disappointments.

Please, mooch away!

I sure wish I could do some mooching, but I'm leaving in two days for three weeks in Europe and I have held off "angeling' and mooching because I won't be able to acknowledge anything or complete angel mooches before the end of April. and I HATE to keep people waiting.
So, see you all in three weeks.

Did I already mention the ARC of An Dantomine Eerly by JRD Middleton? It's 9780984428809 if anyone wants it. Post post post modern prose/poetry/stream of consciousness. I am apparently too immature to appreciate the brilliance

Hi There! I'm going to pimp a newbie's inventory - she followed the advice (listed 4 books), and so far has no mooches, well one from me. She's in the US, set to ask first.

She has listed: Way of the Warrior Book 2 :Shi ,
High Fidelity by Nick Hornby,
Ranma 1/2: Vol. 4 by Rumiko Takahashi.

You can find her inventory here: http://bookmooch.com/m/inventory/imusicrevolution

The four books she listed seem interesting (But I've read them or own them), and I'm all about keeping people with interesting inventories active on BookMooch :)

This is what I have:

The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis (worn spine)

I was at one of my favorite consignment shops today and noticed that they had a large number of Tamora Pierce Massmarket books available. I know her work is highly wishlisted so I will offer them here first. I won't be able to ship until two weeks after friday and only 3 books then...however I'll post them and reserve them for homever wants them and get them out asap. The books in question are:

Tortal Universe:
Song of the Lioness Quartet: Gone to peppermintkiwi
#1 Alana: The First Adventure (ISBN 0-679-80114-6)
Used, some shelf wear, more spinal wear, writing in pen and pencil on first page. It looks as though someone almost detached the cover half way up from the bottom as there is tape along the spine. It is still a good reading copy. Original cover.

#2 In the Hand of the Goddess (ISBN 978-0-689-878565)
Used but in like new condition, some minor shelf wear. Reissue cover.

#3 The Woman Who Rides Like A Man (ISBN 0-679-80112-X)
Used, minor shelf wear, minor spinal creasing, yellowed pages. Original cover a great used copy.

#4 Lioness Rampant (ISBN 0-679-80113-8)
Used, minor shelf wear, minor spinal creasing, there are pencil marks on the first page and a this book belongs to sticker on the inside of the cover page. Original cover a great used copy.

The Immortals Quartet:
#1 Wild Magic (ISBN 0-679-88288-X)
Used, minor shelf wear, minor spinal creasing. Original cover a great used copy.

#3 Emperor Mage (ISBN 0-679-88290-1)
Used, minor shelf wear, minor spinal creasing, some water spots along the edges but no waves in the book. Original cover easy to read.

Protector of the Small: Gone to macsbrains.
#1 First Test (ISBN 0-679-88917-5)
Used, minor shelf wear, minor spinal wear, pencil mark on the first page, yellowing pages and a partially removed sticker on the back cover accross the UPC code. Original cover a great used copy.

Emelan Universe:
Circle of Magic Quartet:
#1 Sandry's Book (ISBN 0-590-55408-5)
Used, This one is not for a collector there is a lot of shelf wear, a lot of spinal wear the front cover has been creased, and the pages are going yellow. Original cover a great reading copy.

If you are intrested please drop a message on my profile, I do ship world wide. Also I have a few kids books both listed and still on my shelf not listed but I believe I pimped them last month. Feel free to ask about them I won't list them all again as it is a long list.

I'd love to snag Beat the Reaper, please!

Reserving a book on BookMooch is very simple. If you wish to reserve a book at the moment when you first list it in your inventory, I suggest this:

Access the Add tab.

Type in the ISBN of the book. (I've found that entering by ISBN is almost always the quickest and best way for me to add books.)

Click on the Inventory Add + button, among the buttons to the right of the screen.

Click on the Reserve > button, among the buttons to the right of the screen.

Type in or paste the BookMooch ID of the person for whom you are reserving this book.

And your book is good to go! There's also an option at this stage that you can send an email to the person in order to notify her that the book is reserved, but that's not always necessary, such as when communication is already ongoing on LT :) .

I recommend going through the process of reserving the book before going through the process of adding condition notes just because it's always possible for someone else to spot the book as available during those few minutes between the time you listed the book and the time you reserved it. This is especially possible if the book is highly wishlisted.

In order to go back to the book and add condition notes (or make any other changes), just return to the book's main page, click on the Condition button, and add whatever the notes you wish. (The Condition button is not among those to the right of the screen, however; it's about midway down in the center. Sometimes navigating BookMooch is like a button treasure hunt.)

My BookMooch ID is --( scherizade )--.

#97 It's an html command, which is hard to explain when the text box is only going to take my directions rather than display them *frown* Do you know how to make italics or bold? It's exactly the same, except you write the word strike between the two carrots in front of the text you want to strike, and you write /strike between the carrots after the text.

100MyriadBooks
Edited: Apr 18, 2010, 5:42 pm

Yes, it's an HTML command. Just type

(strike) right before you'd like the line to start, and
(/strike) right after you'd like the line to end, BUT
instead of parentheses use the greater than and lesser than symbols, like this >.

The parentheses are used in this explanation to keep the command from activating like this. Just set the text with the greater and lesser thans and the HTML should work fine.

I'm having a yard sale in 10 days, and need these books gone as many as possible as they are currently on my yard sale table in my garage. I will ship on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for the next week.

I have a few reasonably popular books that I'm going to put up on BookMooch, but I thought I'd see if any of you are interested first:

People of the Book -- trade paperback in good, but used condition.

I Capture the Castle -- really old mass market paperback, with substantial yellowing. Spine is creased and there is a name and address label inside the front cover.

Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim -- mass market paperback with a crease in the spine.

http://bookmooch.com/m/detail/087923783X

The book is in very nice condition - the dust jacket not so much...

Later tonight I will be adding tons of like new Dover coloring books (fun things like castles and knights and armor), how-to-draw books (pets, horses, everything under the sun), and activity books (connect the dots, find the hidden pictures, etc).

Also I have a vareity of workbooks for homeschooling or practice purposes for kids in grades 1-6. These mostly have a small bit of writing in them.

All of the kids books/workbooks/coloring books/etc are 4 for 1 domestically, perhaps better if you can take a bunch them off my hands. (Internationally I can give a deal too, but it would depend on the number and size of the books)

Check back tomorrow night if you're looking for the coloring books. I'll be here forever entering them.

182:

I'd be interested in the coloring books and the like, as well as the workbooks depending on subject and maker. I'm looking mostly for science for K-2nd and anything relating to religion {prefer Catholic}.

I just mooched two from you now - I'm headed to bed after a long day having a yard sale but I will mooch more from you tomorrow I'm sure.

I actually do have 1 Catholic coloring book. When I saw it I thought, I know exactly who on LT to send a recommendation to. :)
"My Rosary" ISBN= 0819848239

All of the workbooks I have are already listed. Just the fun & games stuff isn't.

The Dover Coloring Books that I have are:

Chinese Designs
Forest Animals
A Walk in the Woods
Floral Bouquets
Favorite Roses
Castles of the World
Knights and Armor
Renaissance Fashion
Zoo Animals
All spoken for :)

The Dover books tend to be highly detailed and some of them even teach you about their subjects (like the parts of a castle and such). Most of them are brand new, but one of two of them have a page colored. I can let you know which if you are interested.

For drawing books I have:

How to Draw Puppies and Kittens
I Can Draw Horses and Ponies
How to Draw Scooby Doo

Draw and Color Animals
1-2-3 Draw Knights Castles and Dragons
1-2-3 Draw Cars, Trucks, and Other Vehicles
1-2-3 Draw Dinosaurs
1-2-3 Draw Pets and Farm Animals

Also have some reusable sticker books (which have been used, but I tested and the stickers do come off and go back on) and lots of connect-the-dots books.

I'll take the rosary one for sure {it's on my wishlist!} and all the rest of the coloring books. I'm not picky on a page colored - we normally get the dover ones from the thrift shop here.

The drawing ones I'll pass on - my daughter is not quite old enough for those.

Can you tell me the topics on the sticker books and dot-to-dot books? Depending on their themes I'll take some of those too.

Just let me know when you post them.

Not trying to butt in here, dakota, but I saw that you were interested in Grade 2 Science textbooks. I happen to have one in my inventory, as well as a coloring book that focuses on learning to count. I don't know if you'd like to take a look...

Although this isn't in my inventory (I'm not sure how I would post it there) I wanted to see if there are any X-Files fans interested in a collection of magazines, trading cards, comics and such. I'm moving and can't really take it all with me but would love to pass it on to someone who would appreciate it. It comes with a X-Files three ring binder most of the stuff is in and a Rolling Stone issue with Mulder and Scully on the front among other things.

Also, I remember someone looking for Tea with the Black Dragon which I'm close to finishing and thought I'd offer it here before putting it on BM.

I've just listed on my inventory a couple of paperback books that I picked up at the used book shelf at my library (these are not ex-library, they have been donated by patrons to raise money for the library).

Night Shadow by Cherry Adair
(Has a few spine creases, but otherwise in good condition)
Dark Curse (A Carpathian Novel) by Christine Feehan
(In like-new condition -- doesn't look like anyone actually read this one)

Thanks, macsbrains, I've mooched an enormous stack of books. Time to start thinking about keeping the children occupied and happy through the summer.

>185 dakotamidnight: and anyone else interested:

Resuable sticker books:
These books have stickers that you can unpeel and restick again to make different scenes. Most of the stickers have been stuck already, but I tested them to be sure that you could unpeel and restick them. They are all in excellent condition otherwise, though there is a price sticker on the front of them. (I tried to remove them and didn't have the finesse)

Most of the stickers are stuck on this one, but it still is very informative and covers a range of topics from animals to world cultures.

These are all in excellent condition, but have 2 or 3 pages with writing on them.
