Love the concept and have already started implementing some of the KonMari principles, but this book must be taken with a grain of salt. I do not feel inclined to communicate with my house and my belongings the way Marie recommends. I do love her focus on being thankful, even if I'm not interested in thanking the actual items as if they had feelings. ( ) She found her passion at age 5 It is so delightful to read a book by someone who is not only an expert on their subject, but is also in love with what they do. It was fascinating that she went through many erroneous methods before she found that one should keep only those possessions which they love, only those that which brings joy. * Don't rush into it * Does it spark joy * Start with the easy stuff (first clothes, books, ... sentimental value last) * Bring everything (in the category) into one place * Decide what to keep * Store things standing up no reviews | add a review
