I'd been dying to read this ever since I heard Annabel Crabb talk about it on Chat 10 Looks 3. This is the most original story I've come across in forever, since I was a child I think. If you like atmospheric British crime and costome drama on tv you will love this book. Turton has drawn deep from the well where Agatha Christie, Ruth Rendell and Val McDermid all drank. On top of this, there are elements of the seriously weird, in a really good way. Cannot fault this novel. Wish I could read it again, not knowing all the twists! no reviews | add a review
