Tremendously helpful when dealing with a sick child --

This book gave me the confidence to question my pediatrician knowledgeably, and to trust my own judgment caring for my daughter. I followed Dr. Mendelsohn's advice, and my daughter was rarely sick. She did not miss more than four days of school being sick during elementary and middle school years. She's now a college graduate, and still has a robust immune system -- even though she was born prematurely and designated "at risk."

Along with Dr. Spock's "Baby and Child Care," this book helped me to raise a healthy and happy kid.
This book is so great. It's always nice to be reminded that parents can have a pretty good handle on their childrens' health without the aid/interference of a doctor.

This book has helped me, as a mother, through many a childhood illness.
Essential reading for those wanting to raise their child without all the usual Western medical junk like antibiotics all the time.
Dr. William Sears (our pediatrician) recommended this book - it's excellent
