We could not be bigger fans of the whacky, exuberant world of genius author/illustrator Bob Shea. From the Dinosaur vs. world, where every utterance is accompanied by a super-fun-to-read-aloud "ROAR" to the awesome Shark and Daddy characters that've sprung from his mind and hand, to the ones he's illustrated for other authors, like Wedgieman and Gilbert Goldfish, his list of achievements (see the booklist below, just for a start) is nothing short of astonishing.

We are thrilled he's in Seattle for his new Dinosaur installment, and even moreso that he's dropping by here to regale us with the stories behind the books.

Bob Shea’s roaring red Dinosaur has taken on bedtime, the potty, and the library. Next, the invincible young dino goes up against a familiar jolly old elf in Dinosaur vs. Santa.

The talented Bob Shea is not only an author and illustrator, but is a graphic designer, worked for several TV channels, including PBS Kids, Comedy Central, and Nick Jr. He been inspired by onetime PBS Kids colleague Richard McGuire (author of The Orange Book and What’s Wrong with This Book?), he also dabbled in writing, including humorous essays for adults and a children’s book. Bob's son is the inspiration for the Dinosaur character.

Join us for an outlandish morning for a special storytime with Bob Shea! Bob will be doing some drawing, some story telling and we'll be giggling and having lots of fun! Dinosaur vs. Santa is going to be the holiday hit of the season - don't miss this program.
