This movie should have won an Academy Award instead of Million Dollar Baby. Way superior to Eastman's shallow and tear-jerky treatment. I loved how Amenabar treats a real situation with tenderness and thought.

It's weird that I don't remember any talk about this movie when it came out. It's definitely the kind of movie you talk about. I had somehow gone all these years just thinking it was a generic haunted house movie - did not know what I was missing.
