Pretty cute little book. Not sure I agree with the conclusions but it generated a lot of discussion around the dinner table. Makes you wonder... are we living in an extro-science universe ourselves and just don't know it? Could we ever actually know for sure?
Ensaio filosófico detetivisco em cima do famoso poema de Mallarmé. Bastante divertido.
Iteration, Reiteration, Repetition: A speculative analysis of the meaningless sign by Quentin Meillassoux
This paper provides a critique of post-Kantian philosophy, which is organised around the idea that we only have access to the correlation between thinking and being. Against "correlationism" − that is, the doctrine that mind and world, or representation and reality, cannot be conceived in isolation from one other − this paper develops a speculative materialism which provides the conceptual resources to think a reality that is independent of thought.
Palestra de Meillassoux levantando a instigante questão: como especular (formular, elaborar, desenvolver, avaliar) mundos em que a ciência não é possível? Segue um conto bastante bom de Isaac Asimov.
