What is so extraordinary about this cookbook is the plating. Each dish is presented on exactly the right china and in the most artistic manner possible and then beautifully-photographed. The recipes are mouth-watering but the inspiration value of table setting and presentation take this book out of the coffee-table gift book category and right into the one of books you want yourself. For the person who loves to give dinner parties and wants to impress with superlative presentation, I have show more seen no better book. show less

As with all the Konemann cookery books, every single recipe is accompanied by a photograph with an emphasis on presentation. I have given this book as prizes and as gifts and almost always the recipient comes back to ask about the other two books (cakes and confections in the series).
