One of those very small Penguin 60s classics that slip easily into ones pocket. I have dozens of them and would read them on the train when commuting.
The creation myths of ancient Babylon, songs chanted at each New Year celebration to reaffirm the sovereignty of the god Marduk by reciting the story of how he came to rule. Other pieces, including the myth of Inanna's descent into the underworld are included.
