Maybe I've been poisoned by 30 years of White Wolf's influence, but the way Ars Magica treats vampires is stupid. That said, I loved the rest of this book. The glimpse into 1220 AD eastern Europe was fascinating, even filtered through the fantasy RPG lens.
A decent Ars Magica supplement, useful for city-based campaigns or stories. Could be ok as an overview of Medieval urban life, not so much for what it says itself, but for pointers to other sources when you find a subject of interest.
