This book starts with the basics showing tatting by shuttle, with a needle, by hand and using two shuttles. It is followed by color photographs of finished projects with full instructions. More than just doilies, there are directions for picture frame trim, clothing trim, and decoration for other crafts. I am glad this book exists as there are very few left who know how to do this art form.

Nice photos of interesting projects, but the patterns for several of the items in the photos are not included. Not sure what the new "twist" is. Many of the patterns are available elsewhere.
