I picked this up more out of curiosity than desire, and as such it didn't excite me much. It is pretty much as advertised, a background into Hayek and his thoughts. I learned a little, and now wonder if he some of his thoughts and theories aren't being slightly twisted around a little today. Interesting enough, but not one of those books you just can't put down by any means.

Good introduction to von Mises' economic thought. Analyzes him fairly, and gives some balance to criticisms as well as his strong points. Simplifies some of his more complex ideas, and makes them more palatable.

An excellent short introduction to the subject.
