I was hooked on this series when it first came out and i thirsted so bad for upcoming episodes, lol. Lots of great speculation as well as gorgeous special effects, gave plenty of food for thought about the things we create and do to the planet.
Engaging and informative book about the Founding Fathers. Ellis discusses the relationships between some of the Founders and how this played out in forming the nation. Some things, such as the Hamilton/Burr rivalry have been told before and seem a little forced into the narrative.
Still, this is a fantastic book which I strongly recommend. Joseph Ellis has written other equally interesting and educational books such as Jefferson’s bio “American Sphinx” Washington’s “His show more Excellency” and others. show less

I got halfway through tape 1 in 2015, tried again in 2016-11 and couldn't get to the end.
The visuals are good, although mostly static photographs with panning to simulate motion, and the information is good, but the History Channel format is so repetitive and boring I just couldn't finish it.

I love this series. It was original aired on the History Channel and I discovered the DVD's at my local library. I love to listen to these dvd's while sewing, crafting etc. It is a wonderful "what if" series. "What would happen if every human being on Earth disappeared?" Love it.
