This is a slow read. They are lectures turned into print so there is a lot of repetition that one might expect to be natural in a classroom. But it is an worthwhile use of time to "sit in the classroom" and hear the venerable Cunningham lecture.
This is a well-written book about Daniel Boone, but it's outdated and uses words and terms that are now considered unacceptable. It's blatantly directed at boys, as if girls are not inclined to become adventurers. I can't speak for its accuracies or its inaccuracies. I do know I read the whole Foreward with great interest.
