this was probably the first Reiki 2.0 book wherein Dr Horan describes reiki as means to the end of core abundance which really was a term for approaching the state of nonduality as embodied in many indian traditions. Although reiki is certainly described (it was 1995 after all), the bulk of the text offers exercises and cycles over 42 days, to get to 'absolute fulfillment'.

Eleven chapters on Core Empowerment (a direct experience of the heart) with accompanying reiki commentaries. Not strictly reiki but Horan was an early Reiki author and has a hugely valuable approach to personal and spiritual development. The work encompasses eastern spirituality as well as personal development. Back cover blurb captures it: "The intention of this book is to inspire and help you appreciate whatever is happening to you in the moment, as the infinite play of Universal Life show more Force Energy," show less

Paula Horan wrote one of the first books to be published on Reiki. years later (and several editions), the Reiki: 108 Questions and Answers give her opinions and answers to basic and familiar questions. Answers are quite unequivocal and provide insight into her approach and teachings at that time. Many answers are still relevant to current and modern practice.

one of the first reiki books published - in the early days, it was very significant as one of the only print books. It's got basic information and materials about reiki and its place in the world and in human consciousness. There are no symbols published nor named. Horan was pretty significant in the day!
