While this book gives a good overview into Reiki, it's not particularly informative for someone who is seeking in-depth information on using the traditional Usui system. The pictures are lovely and it's well laid out, but it doesn't divulge any information you can't find anywhere on the Internet for free. this is quite a comprehensive guide which takes the reader through all aspects and phases of reiki training. chakras, hand positions etc, as well as curriculum for levels of training. It's beautifully illustrated with photos on most every page. surprising though, that a book from 2008 cites Usui as a Christian without any disclaimers or explanation.

a small volume aimed at folks who want to use their reiki in practical ways - at work, in travel, in times of stress or need of relaxation. there are many practical uses offered, as well as standard treatment positions. only cursory information about levels and history are given which makes this into at least a reiki 1.4 book rather than a straight up reiki 101, but not as extensive as say a reiki 2.0...

This should be of use to every reiki practitioner. Very well written, with a plethora of meditations and different ideas of how to use reiki. I enjoyed this immensely.
